The Eric E. Sutphin Memorial Scholarship Fund awards scholarships for students who have a parent or guardian who is a law enforcement officer serving in the NRV with preference given to Montgomery County to attend any college, university or accredited vocational or technical program.

Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley

The purpose of the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is promotion of art as important to the life of a community and nourishing to human development.  This is accomplished through an annual educational program of rotating exhibits from artists/artisans, classes for adults and children, lectures, performances, and the promotion of the arts as a business and staple of tourism through the region.

Friends of the Farmers Market Inc.

The Friends of the Farmers Market, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, provides support to the Blacksburg Farmers Market. We work to support beginning and established farmers, assist low-income people and seniors with access to affordable healthy food, promote public health by educating our community about the benefits of locally produced and sustainably grown food, and support the economic vitality of downtown Blacksburg.
