a community where every adult has the literacy skills he or she needs and deserves.

Literacy, the ability to not only read and write, but also to co
mmunicate in a rapidly changing world, is of vital importance for all.

Literacy is independence. Opportunity. Empowerment. Hope. Choices. Freedom.
It's a ladder.  And it opens doors.

Literacy is a whole new world.

Increased adult literacy today will lead to a literate generation tomorrow.

There are 15,000 adults in the NRV lacking a high school diploma or equivalency; 6,000 of our adult neighbors have less than a ninth grade education.

LVNRV = neighbors helping neighbors to achieve their reading goals.

At LVNRV, we believe in the power of literacy and learning.

Join us in our mission to support local adults who want to change their lives -- and their families' lives -- through literacy.

We are fortunate to have a GiveBig $5000 challenge grant to inspire increased grassroots support and to build our capacity to meet the adult basic education needs in our community -- IF we raise $5000 on April 24, the impact of your gift will be doubled and we will receive an additional $5000!

On behalf of our adult literacy students, we thank you for your support.

Imagine . . .
a community where everyone has the literacy skills they need and deserve.

Together, we can achieve literacy for all.

Thank you for the worlds and minds you bring to light!

What a wonderful organization, building skills one person at a time.
