The Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care and Control (FACC) is the 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals in Montgomery County, Virginia through the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center by providing financial support, foster homes, dedicated volunteers, community education, and outreach.

FACC is dedicated to improving and saving the lives of animals at the Montgomery Animal Care and Adpotion Center (ACAC) by:

-Providing financial assistance for veterinary and behavorial care
-Placing animals transferred into the care of FACC into temporary and safe foster homes until a FACC approved permanent home is found
-Recruiting and training volunteers on activities that benefit the animals at the ACAC
-Educating and promoting the importance of spaying and neutering animals and providing financial assistance when possible to owners that cannot afford these services
-Developing, implementing and assisting the ACAC with outreach and marketing activities that promote ACAC and foster animals in the New River Valley
-Partnering and collaborating with other organizations for the betterment of animals

The new Animal Care and Adoption Center opened in 2017 and has been a tremendous resource for our community.  In 2018, 1779 animals came into the Center!  That included 827 cats, 886 Dogs and 66 other animals (Yes! Pigs, lizards, chickens and more!)  We help support the care and well being of all the animals at the ACAC and are 100% funded by the generosity in our community.  Your donations are so important.

In addition to all the animals at the Center, we have a fund at Mountain View Humane to assist owners who otherwise would not have been able to afford to spay/neuter their pets.  In 2018, we funded over $8000 of spay/neuter costs to animals in Montgomery County.

Please consider helping us take care of the homeless pets of Montgomery County!
