You know the challenges that we face in our communities. People of all ages and backgrounds are struggling to reach their full potential. More and more children face seemingly insurmountable learning gaps. Families find it difficult to spend quality time together. But where society falls short, our Y - and donors like you - step in. Together we make a difference in the lives of thousands of people and a huge impact on each individual we serve. The YMCA is a charitable association dedicated to building healthy spirit, mind, and body. The YMCA of Pulaski County is an association of members, volunteers, contributors, and staff, putting Christian principles into practice through programs that promote healthy lifestyles, strong families, positive youth development, community strength, and international understanding. Y’s are for people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages, and incomes. The YMCA believes we all need a place to belong — a place where we genuinely care about one another, where we pull together for a common cause, and where we treat each other with the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We are proud to offer such a place to the Pulaski County community.
How we make a difference
The YMCA of Pulaski County has a proud history with 69 years of serving the people of Pulaski County. We understand what our community needs to be its best. Working with generous donors like you, our Y provides everyone the opportunity to be healthy and thrive, to connect with others and conntribute to a better community. From infants to pre-school to school age programs, to adult wellness, senior aquatics exercise and youth sports, your support helps hundreds of youth and families live healthier and happier lives. It enables all Pulaski elementary kids to have free swim and boater safety lessons so no child is left behind in water safety. It allows our kids summer meals hrough our "No Kid Hungry" initiative to ensure that they continue to thrive outside of the school year. It provides seniors with opportunities to connect with others and engage in healthy activities that keep them strong and vital. All this and much, much more.
Each year we conduct our annual "We Build People" campaign. Every dollar from those campaigns goes directly to underwrite programs, enhance our facility and provide financial aid, so that every deserving person can be part of our Y regardless of income level. We believe that every member of our community needs a place like the Y, where they can belong and grow. We encourage you to visit www.pulaskiymca.org for more information or like us on Facebook. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to help us keep the YMCA open to everyone.
